Tip of the Week
Make sure your photos are 300 dpi or better. What does that mean?
It means DON’T pull your photos off your website. Use the original photos from your digital camera, or scan color prints at the highest resolution your scanner will allow.
Warning: Low-Resolution Images Don't Print Well!
Many images, particularly 72dpi jpegs taken off the Internet, look jagged and blurry when printed on paper, especially glossy stock. Those images have already been reduced in resolution so they load fast on the internet, and you can’t go backwards to make a low resolution file into high resolution. You need to start with a high resolution file. For best results, we recommend that your images be at least 300dpi (dots per inch). The best thing to do is send us the original images from your digital camera.
To get good images from your digital camera, use the highest quality setting available on the camera.

Size, color, materials
and style should all be considered when searching for the perfect
pendant lamps for your home. Size can vary and large, elaborately
designed pendants can often take the place of a
chandelier in your dining room. If you want a quality
ceiling fixture over your dining room table, and are tired of
the look of a traditional
chandelier, you should look into the vast array of larger pendant
lamps that provide ample light for dining and room illumination. Pendants
also work well in kitchens, both as a general room light, and in smaller
versions for specific task lighting over sinks, tables, countertops
and work areas.
The
height that a pendant is hung at, combined with the size and brightness
of the bulb can make a huge difference in the look of a room and the
amount of light that appears in the area. Smaller pendants make wonderful
room accents, and can actually be grouped for a modern or whimsical
feel, while providing a series of lights. Shades are available in
virtually every size, shape and material, and color choices are abundant.
The variety is endless, and many options can be hard-wired into your
ceiling or simply plugged into an outlet. This means that lighting
can be placed virtually anywhere in your home and your decorating
options have increased dramatically. Look around and see if there
is a place in your house that would be perfect for some new pendant-style
ceiling fixtures. To add to your lighting options, you could also
tie your new lighting into a dimmer switch, so that you can vary its
function from task lighting or general illumination, to accent lighting
to help set a mood.
